Cherry Picked is an innovative retail incubator project created by LYST. We have been successfully running it in areas as diverse as the Royal Exchange and Greenwich Market. LYST identifies shops where the agent or landlord is looking for a short term let. These shops are sub-let on a license to LYST clients and these businesses are offered on-going support to help them maximise the time they have in the shop.
Cherry Picked gives fashion and designer led businesses an opportunity to trade, test the market and gain valuable selling and customer care skills. In 2006 LYST businesses were given the opportunity to sell at the prestigious Royal Exchange shopping arcade in the City. Our clients sold cutting-edge design pieces, ranging from handbags to hand knits and furniture to fashion.
Then in 2007 we opened a shop in Greenwich Market showcasing many of LYST’s most successful designers including Phyllis Taylor of Sika whose designs have been covered in Vogue magazine, Daily Mirror and many other publications. A year later we opened The Greenwich Boutique showcasing a range of designers including, Coco Seamstress, Chelline, Ohema Ohene, Blaque Ribbon, Dionne Donovan, Miss Magou and DK Darlington.
As a direct result of her experience of showcasing her designs in the Greenwich Boutique shop Abenaa Opokuaa of Ohema Ohene opened her own boutique in 2010 on Atlantic Road, Brixton stocking her highly desirable ladieswear and shoe ranges.
