Thames Festival – September 2010 - Of the 19 businesses who exhibited, 5 were from Kennington, 3 fashion designers a filmmaker and a PR consultant. Feedback from all the businesses was good, they were glad they took the opportunity to promote themselves and although the event wasn’t just about sales on the day they were abel to secure future orders resulting in a £150 sale for one designer.

Pop Up Shop – Brixton Village Market - 4 Fashion businesses were given the opportunity to test trade in the most high profile area of the market, rent free for 3 weeks. Results were very good for the designers, they all sold clothing, menswear designer sold 8 shirts to one customer alone. All the designers said they benefited from direct contact with customers and being given the opportunity to experience running a shop and working as a team. Recent visitors to the market have been Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, the High Commissioner of Jamaica.

Kennington Association Charity Auction Sept- Community Event – Business donated design of business card to the Auction, very pleased as customer now wants further design services.

Lambeth Palace Fete - June - Community Event – Businesses exhibited at the LYST stall, helped to promote themselves and meet local community. Clothing sales made for a fashion designer and filmmaker who sold plant pots with his branding on them.

Kennington Fete – June - Community Event – Businesses exhibited on the LYST stall, helped to promote themselves and meet local community.

Fashion Show – Feb – 3 Fashion Designers showed current ranges at charity Fashion show in WI, this opportunity came from another business in Kennington who runs a PR company. Very good example of collaboration between the businesses.

Press Coverage – Various articles on Kennington businesses include Pop Up Shop openings, Cluster of Media related businesses in the centre, visit to Kennington of local councillor Sally Prentice who has Cabinet responsibility for Regeneration, Planning, Employment and Enterprise, impressed with range of businesses she met.
